The mounting racks for the PV system (photo voltaic) that will collect solar energy to run the meters backwards are installed.  The PV modules should be installed the week of June 14.

Inside the building, the locker cases in the common room have been installed.  Work on the ceilings, is now about 80% complete,  placement of bookcases and the work room cabinets is now 95% complete, and painting is about 85% complete. 

Nearly all vanities and toilets have been installed in the bathrooms of the building, and almost all of the aluminum doors are also installed.

The stainless steel vestibule door will be installed towards the end of June. 

The cork floors in the seminar rooms are done and crews have already installed the carpeting in the lower floor offices and the first floor offices.  They are now working on the second floor common room and lounge area. 

Window installation is moving towards being completed, with about 95% of the windows in place and ready to go!

The exterior stucco is done!  The interior stucco is moving along well, about 75% complete. 

The excavation and ramp work between Levan and Weigle is about 50% complete.  The lower section of ramp will be completed as soon as the upper part is also ready.  Stair-work near the building is in progress.

Boulder placement is about 90% complete.  Plantings will be done later in the summer, as one of the final steps in this construction process!

New & upcoming work includes:

• The curb, grading, and paving work behind Weigle will now take place towards the end of June, though dirt will be moved soon
• The furniture is still expected to arrive on July 15!  In order to meet LEED criteria, the building will have 28 days to “off-gas.”  Occupancy can begin on the 9th day of that 28 days, and we’re still on schedule for a mid-August opening.
• Walking access between FAB and the fishpond placita, which was open during graduation, is closed until late June at the earliest.
