Meeting Rooms

Year-round, St. John's College makes available a variety of meeting rooms for daily rental to educational groups, associations, and community organizations. Situated in a cluster of buildings on campus, the rooms range in style and size from seminar classrooms, which accommodate up to 25 people, to the spacious Great Hall, which comfortably seats 220. All rooms have numerous set-up options and varying capacities. (Click here for a virtual tour.) Outdoor balconies and terraces extend the meeting space of many rooms into a beautiful mountain setting.

During the summer conference season, meeting rooms are coordinated with on-campus housing and dining facilities to accommodate residential conferences, workshops, and meetings. When the St. John's College undergraduate program is in full session, from late August through late May, meeting rooms and catering and audio/visual services may be available for rent to outside organizations; however, sleeping accommodations are not available for rental during these months.

Although most facilities are utilized for student activities during the academic year, occasionally space is available for outside groups. Please contact the Conference Services Office as early as six to eight weeks in advance to determine availability. Conference Services will do their utmost to secure a rental room that does not conflict with the academic schedule. Preference will be given to those groups that use the campus and sleeping accommodations during the summer conference season.

Daily rental rates include the assistance of the Conference Services Office, which works with each client to insure proper room set-up, and arrangements for audio-visual equipment and catering services. Prospective clients are encouraged to make an appointment to visit the campus and meet with the Director of Conference Services to discuss the specific needs of their program.

In addition to food and catering services, the Conference Services Office helps conference groups obtain the audio/visual equipment and services that they need to have a successful conference. This includes equipment needed to make a special presentation, share audio recordings, show videos, or participate in an amplified panel discussion.

The St. John's College Conference Services Office can also help with more unusual requests, such as helping a conference leader find a flute to rent for the week, or recommending restaurants and transportation.

For more information, please contact our office at 505-984-6024, or send e-mail to confserv@sjcsf.edu.
