The Institute for Rock Magnetism will be holding its sixth biennial conference at St. John's this summer. This conference will explore the state-of-the-art in magnetic studies of natural materials (including samples of lunar, Martian and other extraterrestrial origins), examine methods for extracting geophysical and paleo-climate information through magnetic analysis, and assess what we are learning from such studies about the history and interconnected workings of our planet and its surroundings. Information for IRM Participants
Your sessions will take place in the Junior Common Room on the second floor of Peterson Student Center (number 1 on the campus map).
Participants will be housed in a combination of single, semi-private double, and one-room double dorm rooms in the upper dormitory area. Dorms Kirby, Murchison and the first floor of McCune
(#'s 16, 17 & 21) are located uphill from Peterson Student Center, about a three minute walk. All housing includes three meals a day in the Dining Hall.
