Nuclear Physics Summer School
July 9 – 20, 2012

Graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, and prominent lecturers gather annually to discuss the exciting recent developments and future directions in nuclear science. This summer, St. John's College is happy to welcome NPSS participants to campus for the second year (the first was in 2002). For information on the conference, click here.
Information for Nuclear Physics Summer School Participants
Sessions will take place in the Great Hall located on the top floor of Peterson Student Center (PSC) (number 1 on the campus map). The dining hall, coffee shop, bookstore and switchboard are all located on the first floor of PSC.
Some participants will be housed in the college’s brand new enhanced dorms in the Winiarski Student Center, across from the lower dorms on the west end of campus. Dorms Ferdinand and Ariel (#’s 52-53) house 15 people each, with one bathroom per floor, a large, open common area, balconies, and a break room. Other participants will be housed in single dorm rooms in the lower dorm, Thalia (#34). Thalia, Ferdinand, and Ariel are all located slightly downhill from Peterson Student Center. St. John’s College undergrad and graduate students, as well as interns from Santa Fe Institute will also reside in the lower dorm area. A small group of participants may be housed in Kirby (#17) in the upper dorm area, located uphill from Peterson Student Center, about a three to five minute walk. All housing includes two meals a day (breakfast and lunch) in the Dining Hall. Also check Accommodations.
