Student Activity Center
St. John's opened its athletic facility (#48 on the campus map)
in October 2000. The Student Activity Center is home to a weight room, two racquetball or squash courts, a large gymnasium, locker rooms and the Office of Athletics and Outdoor Activities. The weight room currently has rowing and elliptical machines, treadmills, bicycles, and Stairmasters. Guests will also find free weights, kettle bells, Hoist cable-pulling weight machines, and stretching balls. For less strenuous activities, there are foosball, air-hockey, pool, and table tennis tables in the hall.
Conference guests can use this facility for a fee of $2.00 per visit to be paid in advance at the front desk of the Student Activity Center. Upon payment, your meal card will be programmed for the number of visits you purchase (so be sure to bring your meal card with you!). Each time you visit the SAC, a visit will be deducted from your card through a swipe system.
Conference participants staying on campus for four weeks or longer may be eligible for unlimited visits through their group leader. Additional information will be listed in the Welcome Letter you will receive upon arrival.
All SAC patrons will be asked to complete a Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire form (PAR-Q) prior to using the facilities.
SAC Hours are: Monday through Saturday 8:00a-9:00p, and Sunday 11:00a-8:00p.
